My Fresh Co’s involvement in the fresh produce industry dates back to the 1970s. In fact, the grandfather, father and uncle of the business farmed on the land adjacent to what is now Blackdown Growers, during the late 1960s and early 1970s. From those early roots, they transitioned into retail, starting with the purchase of a small grocery store in Leamington Spa. Over time, they expanded by acquiring two additional stores in Coventry in the mid-1980s. This growth eventually led to the opening of their own dedicated greengrocer’s in Coventry in the early 1990s, which they have successfully operated for over 20 years.
The hands-on experience gained through these ventures – sourcing premium produce, understanding customer preferences and ensuring efficient delivery laid the groundwork for the creation of My Fresh Co today and to serve top-quality fresh produce everyday.
